The knitted tie nappy is a classic cloth diaper. Most midwifes recommend this diaper, especially for newborns. Made from unbleached organic cotton. Without any elastics, snaps , or velcro it is consequently ecological. It fits perfectly because of the stretchy knit. It is very comfortable for the baby, leaving no marks and keeping his legs wide for optimal hip development.
 

Please consider:

The knitted nappy does not provide enough absorbency by itself.

Usually you combine the knitted nappy with a prefold diaper.

For bigger children and those who need higher absorbency you can use Hemp Hour Prefold or Hemp Hour Long.

Avoiding knotted straps:

The straps knot very easily in the washer. Tip: Collect the dirty nappies in a tub and let the straps hang out. Before putting them in the washer, secure the straps with a sock or by knotting them altogether. Or cut away the straps and use a snappi, which is also a good solution when the straps are torn.

Suitable diaper covers:

Double-layer knit wool cover, milled/felted wool cover by Disana and any other diaper cover, when it's possible to tuck inside all the nappy cloth.

Not suitable: Wolwikkel Amsterdam.
